Have you ever wondered what produced the incredible achievement of personalities such as David, Samuel, Daniel and Paul? What is that hidden key that opened options to them that brought long lasting results time after time?
Why did God close the wombs of women like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Hannah and Elizabeth when their children carried such glorious destinies? Why did they need to pray so hard before they could have children? Perhaps the answer lies in the very fact that they had to pray before such outstanding lives could be birthed on earth.
As Samuel settled into being the spiritual, social and political leader with a heart of gold that did right and gave justice, who declared the word of the Lord in prophecies that were consistently fulfilled, the ‘ridiculed’ Hannah became the mother of the most revered leader since Moses. What a long road to fulfillment!
What were Samson’s values? It did not come out clearly in the story. He knew how to fight. Beyond that, it is not clear what direction Samson intended to move at any time. He did not seem to be following a vision, because he cast no vision for anyone to follow. He seemed incapable of mobilizing the people of Israel to join in his fights.
When you fail to note your strengths, you are unable to motivate yourself and mobilize your resources. When you fail to note your weaknesses, they will become the Trojan horses and Achilles’ heels that can make your success a bubble. When you fail to see the opportunities and threats each situation presents to you, you lose your winning cards and fall where you don’t need to fall.
There is no earth without heaven. God is never far from us. and He never will stay away from the affairs of men. Because when we are stuck, we will pray. And when we pray, He will help us. This too, is simple, my love.
