When you fail to note your strengths, you are unable to motivate yourself and mobilize your resources. When you fail to note your weaknesses, they will become the Trojan horses and Achilles’ heels that can make your success a bubble. When you fail to see the opportunities and threats each situation presents to you, you lose your winning cards and fall where you don’t need to fall.
Each one of us ought to be adding to the landscape of life from a stock that we bring. Look carefully and find those features, ideas and imaginations that are uniquely yours. Do not despise them or imagine that they are not legitimate. They are. Deploy them to push your life forward.
I have watched people at the buffet table mix all sorts of meals in a heap. And I could just imagine the tough process they were going to go through eating what ought to have brought the pleasure of decipherable taste. Not to talk about the tummy ache that could be awaiting them.
I cringe when people do not value relationships and so are careless with them as they travel life’s journeys. Every penny adds up, so a habit of saving is to be coveted – even if its savings in a piggy bank. Then I also cringe when people are afraid to tackle challenging situations such as marriage, new businesses, and projects just because they don’t have ‘enough money’. The value of money comes only when well leveraged.
